Let me start off by saying I am new to the site, so as a fellow migraine sufferer I am very happy that I stumbled upon the forum! I first sought treatment for my migraines in 2009, and have not since found much relief. skull I get almost daily migraines, lasting 2-3 days that are moderate to severe in severity. I can go a few days in between migraines, If I am lucky. My migraines are without aura and are usually left sided.
I have tried almost all treaments that I have researched. I have tried all of the triptains(they gave me a pressure sensation side effect in my head), elavil(wasn't willing to risk the side effects), depakote(made me too drowsy), DHE with metoclopromide, vitamin therapy(magnesium, B complex, CoQ10,you name it), birth control (stopped taking the pill to see if my trigger was hormonal, but quickly learned it wasn't so now on a seasonal pill with no relief), topamax(currently on 100 mg twice a day) botox injections (currently every 3 months), occipital nerve blocks (currently every 6 weeks), acupunture(weekly), and massage therapy(monthly) . I am frustrated and I am tired of this constant suffering and pain. I am writing to see if anyone had ever tried IV therapy or has any other feedback that they can offer. I appreciate it more than you know !! Thank you!! :-)

Sorry for the delay in reply.

You have tried all that I have.

Currently I am on a combo of 4 main meds for pain mngmt, achieving a pain level of 3-5 most days. Tolerable if I am not very active. Imitrex and T3 for break through or cluster pain.

I could suggest going to a major hospital such as John Hopkins and seeing a diagnositic neurologist for a correct dx. see my signature.

Peace and strength
