Good day, I have been diagnosed with vestibular migraine... it has been a long haul (2 years) of running to specialists all over -- very frustrating. I was on Nortriptylene (generic brand) which helped somewhat, but can no longer get the generic brand and the "real" Nortriptylene doesn't seem to help me. My neurologist just prescribed Nadolol (beta blocker) to treat my vestibular migraines. This is odd as one of the most common side effects if dizziness. I haven't started it yet as I am scared to. I don't need to be dizzier, that is for certain. has anyone tried Nadolol before? If so, has it worked for you? Thank you so much! I need all the advice I can get. I don't know anyone to ask for advice.

Kimmy, I take 8 medications that can make me dizzy. After a couple of days, eating food with and drinking plenty of water all day. the Dizzy goes or is very tolerable.

Please start the med. It is soo worth the risk to get rid of the pain.

The dizzy is not at all like vertigo. If it does get that bad, you can stop and call the doc for discussion of another med. This is the game we play till we find what works with our body and pain. I am on a combo of 4 meds for my head pain. Plus 6 meds [2 NPR] for my mental condition. YES, finding all that worked together was a trial.

I wish you comfort and strength

Thanks so much for your reply Trina. I really appreciate taking your time to do this. Have you ever tried Nadolol? I sure would like to find something prescribed by a naturopathic doctor to use instead of drugs. Thanks again, so much -- have a JOYFUL day! Kim turn turn
