This is new for me. I've been migraining for 40 years. Today I HEARD it. That first streak that I normally feel across the side of my head that tells me it's starting? It was accompanied by a crunchy sound, or maybe a gurgly sound. Gross, whichever it was. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this. I can say that it is proving to be a humdinger so far, but other than that, nothing especially different about it....

I forgot to add to the end of my original post that I was wondering if anyone else ever 'heard' their head from the inside?

Hi,
It might be possible that this noise is an auditory aura symptom that starts before the migraine. Otherwise it is not a usual symptom. Avoid stress, light, or things that irritate you. I think it might be better to take advice from doctor or I think you should also meet one ENT specialist.

Have you ever been tested for TMJ Syndrome? TMJ can be the cause of many pain issues associated with the neck, head, shoulders, face and even the back. I have TMJ for 30 years as a result of holding my mouth open to have my wisdom teeth extracted. I have had clicking and locking in my jaw ever since. At that time there was nothing anyone could do but I just discovered that there are now specialists that strictly treat TMJ. The symptoms can include migraine headaches, muscle spasms in the face and head, tight neck and shoulder muscles, sore face, ear aches, nasal congestion, dizziness, sensitivity to light, it's quite a long list. It might be worth checking out. Look for a specialist and sees his patients every two or three weeks on an ongoing basis. If he is just pushing a mouth guard and nothing else, keep looking.
