Are you seeing a neurologist? or a GP? I suggest a Neuro

I am on a combo of meds Topomax 225mg Propanolo 120mg
pain level usually stays around a 3-5 most days.

I do have an appointment at the Jeff Univ Headache center in Phila on 10/14. My Neuro passed away and I can not get a new doc to see me.

Hi Morgan,

I am experiencing something similar. I was diagnosed with new daily persistent headache and migraine October 2012 and have had constant, 24/7 headaches that increase in intensity daily. I've tried every medication they've prescribed. Even Topamax with Propranolol. But has helped either. I've tried nerve blocks, DHE hospital stays, Botox, acupuncture, chiropractor, physical therapy, massages. Nothing seems to be helping.

I've been regularly following-up with Johns Hopkins in Maryland. They recently prescribed Namenda, which is an Alzheimer's medication to see if this will break the constant 24/7 cycle. I've only been on it for 2 weeks, so I'm crossing my fingers.

Have you tried any other medications? I know they normally prescribe the usual anti-seizure, blood pressure, anti-depressants to treat the migraines. I've been on all of them.

You mentioned that the gabipentin is now not working. Has it worked for you in the past?

Hello everyone,

I just want to say that I have been migraine free for a month. I have struggled with migraines since I was 13 and will soon be 38. I have been on every med, gone to the ER many times for a cocktail that was only temporary, had acupuncture, been to the chiropractor, see a TMJ specialist, and nothing seemed to work. I would like to tell you that after a recent visit with a physician who also studied German medicine, I haven't had a migraine, woke up with a headache, had anxiety or depression. I am so thankful that I am able to live life again.

Blessings,
Angela

Hello, i know what migraines are like, I'm an 18 year old girl who been hospitalized for months with migraines, i been on every migraine medications including this one, and not 1 is working or been helping, When i go to the hospital for a migraine, i always become hospitalized, migraines suck for me!! The doctors here told me that they haven't seen a person suffer from migraines like me... I might be needing brain surgery because i also have a weak blood vessel, but that isn't what is causing my migraines... I been suffering from migraines since i was 6 years old... The symptoms i get are: Blurry vision, sensitivity to light, sound and noise, vomiting, nausea, sometimes dizziness, and fainting, and there are a lot more... I get migraines every single day and in a month, I get 28 migraines..
