I'm in my 3rd year and am getting desperate. I've tried everything and anything. I've tried the typical migraine food elimination diet, but no change. I'm currently on the Paleo diet and have been for over a month, still not change. I am careful at what I eat. I don't eat anything processed and basically eat like a rabbit. Am I doing something wrong? I'm thinking that food isn't a trigger for my migraines, yet I still hear people/drs ask if I am on an elimination diet. I think at this point I prefer to eat a Bacon Cheeseburger because I know that it won't affect my migraine either way.

Any thoughts?

I never tried elimination of foods for my migraines so it's difficult for me to say whether it might help. Mine are pretty clearly tied to hormones... On the other hand, I did it for my UC and you would think diet changes would provide some benefit to an intestinal condition, but in my case, it provided none. It seems so simple to think you're putting this stuff into your body, it has to be able to cause or cure, but I don't believe it is always that simple. In my case, I know it wasn't. It sounds like you've given in a good try, maybe you should treat yourself to something nutritious and delicious. you can always go back to the diet if you like. One diet people do for IBD is SCD diet. It didn't do anything for me but it was interesting to try.

Thanks for your reply! I do cheat from time to time and have something delicious that I want. This prevents me from going crazy haha :)

Hello,

I just want to say that I have been migraine free for a month. I have struggled with migraines since I was 13 and will soon be 38. I have been on every med, gone to the ER many times for a cocktail that was only temporary, had acupuncture, been to the chiropractor, see a TMJ specialist, and nothing seemed to work. I would like to tell you that after a recent visit with a physician who also studied German medicine, I haven't had a migraine, woke up with a headache, had anxiety or depression. I am so thankful that I am able to live life again.

Blessings,
Angela
