Hi I'm hoping someone with similar experience can help me out. I'm a 15 year old girl. I wear glasses, but I haven't been for the past couple of days because it helps a little with the headaches. Here is my story from the beginning. So on July 20th around 3:00 I had a small headache, nothing serious. I decided to sleep it off. However, when I woke up a few hours later I still had the headache. Only now it was worse. It was so bad I couldn't sit still. I was rolling around and holding my head. It was like an ice pick pain. And this is where it all started. I woke up the next morning with a light headache. I thought this could be caused by many things so I stopped using all electronics, took my glasses off, stopped sleeping with my fan and left a window open. Nothing seemed to ease the pain. I tried heat, ice, all kinds of medicine. After 5 days of continuous headache my mom took me to the ER (would've went earlier but I was 5 hours away from home at my aunts). They did a CT scan and some blood tests which were all negative. The doctor said it's just "a bad headache." They gave me a large dose of ibuprofen and prescribed me vicodin 3.5mg and with these even taking two didn't help. So fast forward a week and I finally get my new glasses, I'm taking the vics daily, even though they don't help (I did stop about halfway through the script). My mom got me this headache relief stuff (acetaminophen/aspirin) and that actually did help but here's the thing. This headache may be long lasting but it's not that painful. In the ER I described it as a 4 on the pain scale. However, sometimes it is worse than others. But the pain intensity varies every minute. Sometimes it'll come on like on quick beat in my temple or something and then it's gone. The light part doesn't matter thought because I've had this for so long it feels like like it's just wearing my brain out. As most people with headaches, I've worried myself to death about tumors and aneurysms. Even though I got a CT scan I found myself searching "can CT scans miss small tumors?" Yea.. I'm not in a good place. Oh I forgot to mention that my head pain is mostly temples, top, and forehead/nose. It all started in my forehead/nose area that's why we thought it was the glasses. But over time this seemingly got worse, spreading to all places of my head. Also, I threw up this morning and I feel great now... But I know I will wake up with this monster again so please, any information you have. I'm sorry this post is kinda all over the place. I do have a few questions if anyone has answers. Can this be caused by lack of exercise/healthy eating? Excessive electronic use? I have stomach problems, sometimes I think there's a connection between the stomach and head pain (I had stomach issues long long long before this) could that be possible? I sleep well, get enough sleep, so no problem there. Thank you so much in advance. Sorry for the long read.

Do not apologize. You deserve to have someone listen. I am in the same place. Getting run around with my doctor-all sorts of meds from Zoloft and Ativan to Zyrtec, and Benadryl. I don't know your situation but I have had some health issues from Spring time that have been resolved. These vindicate me that I have proof I am not a hypochondriac. Have been keeping a medical diary, as well as my regular social/activity journal. Looked back Tuesday night and noted all this began immediately after I had a severe reaction to dye in a CT scan Sept. 23rd. Yesterday I mentioned this to Dr. and she quipped that the dye is long gone from my system. Duh! She is either dumb or trying to throw me off from the fact that I think something happened in my physical self that is causing trouble. I was told by optometrist she sent me to that I need a cardiologist or neurologist. Dr. will not refer me to anybody.- Said to lie down with cold cloth on my head and call for appointment if I have a headache. darn! I keep telling her it is 24/7 since Sept. Got the appointment and she gave me magnesium tablets. Must say they help some but the pressure behind eyes is bad and light sensitivity makes daily life horrid. Odd feelings in head and disoriented sensation is not normal. I have noted my BP is running higher than in past but again the medical professionals will not look to see that although they think it is great reading It is too high for my normal readings. Records from years past show that 91/24 is typical for me and 150/86 is not. I am seeing people report same symptoms as me and I wonder about CT reactions. Those who report adverse reactions to dye on other posts do not tell much about experience or the follow up since then. I hope to garner more information from anyone who cares to share. Medical sites report some incidents of severe reaction but description except rash and itching. What about the rest of us and what is treatment or outcome???? Can anyone help me?
