I don't normally post on this board but I am having a terrible migraine.

The actuall throbbing and pulsing pain isn't what's killing me although it's excruciating. It's the nausea and dizziness. I can barely see and typing this is very difficult
I took 8mg of zofran and 500 mg of Tylenol and I'm hoping they will help but it's been about 30 min and I'm going nuts.

I tried a hot shower and it helped for maybe 30 seconds.
Any other tips? Please?

I cannot take any medications with NSAIDs (including excedrin) or caffeine as they irritate my UC

Try heating pad or ice on your head. either or for people. Me, heat works.

Dark room, lay down and use controlled slow breathing.

Asprin works better than tylenol.

If not gone, call the doctor, if not available. NO shame-have someone take you to an ER, they can give you a shot and pain will be gone with in 5 mins or less.

I didnt know that Iron deficieny can cause migraines

I am very anemic and have been on oral iron for months with hardly any improvement
next step is infusions (my hematologist gave me a couple more weeks to test it out)

try molasses. A nurse told me years ago about it. I take a table spoon a day in milk. Unless you are diabetic, it may work.
