I'm 39, healthy, very active, workout 5 days per week, bloods/labs look wonderful. First let me say, I rarely EVER (never) get headaches. Also, I'm not a chiro nut or crack addict, but I have a sports injury and I have one chiro I see occasionally when it flares up in my shoulder.
I went to see a new chiro that is a personal friend/acquaintance that works closer to me at work for deep tissue work on a shoulder injury. Short story of it, he adjusted my neck with no warning and torqued it hard. I immediately had a headache in the forehead and back of my head for 12 hours. It was not excruciating, but it was hard to concentrate, foggy headed, and harder to work that day. Woke up the next day and could still feel it hovering. Called that chiro's office and they told me to come in. I came in, and he wasn't even there! He's fired!
So I called my chiro that's closer to my house and he immediately could tell my atlas was off and he could fix it, gently. He did. I immediately felt somewhat better, but it's been 24 hours since the REadjustment, and I'm not 100% yet. Still have some pressure in my forehead and back of my head.
Has this happened to anyone? Will this headache go away on it's own? Although my neck and base of neck feels better, looser, the headache is still there, albiet reduced.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
