OK Folks, don't get too excited now but I found something I never expected to lessen the freqency of my migraines.  I've gone from 2/3 major migraine attacks down to 1/2 per week.  Not that great of an accomplishment, but I'll take what I can get!

I have always had perfect 20/20 vision in both eyes, but over the last year, as my migraine attacks escalated, my vision would get a little wonky.  My Doctor checked my vision on one of those stupid charts, which I passed with flying colors, but she still said I should probably see an eye doctor.  Well, I did, and though my vision is still 20/20, I a have an astigmatism in both eyes.  It's just a fancy term  that meant my corneas aren't the right shape anymore.

Thus, I now have four eyes, my vision doesn't go wonky anymore, and I have fewer migraine attacks.  It's a win/win situation.  For those of you that don't wear glasses, I would highly recommend getting your eyes checked.  Once I put my glasses on, I didn't want to take them off!!

Just another avenue to check out.

HAPPY!  HAPPY!  GIRL!!!

Hi Leigh Ann,

I'm so happy for you. I've found similar success with glasses. I have found my astigmatism plays a key role in my headaches.

Congratulations!

I have astigmatism also, I find that it contributes to Migraines if I am not careful...(wearing contacts a certain amt of time, or if I don't wear them at all...)

Interesting connection

PS My astigmatism has been getting worse since I started Topamax. I'm keeping an eye on it.
