Has something in your environment changed that might be causing it? Or perhaps something hormonal? Have you taken anything for it? I know I would be taking NSAIDs. The ER is always frustrating because it's really just an attempt to get people to a state where they can function, and get them out of there. What happens beyond that is the patients responsibility. I wouldn't bother going there unless I thought I needed to be admitted. The neurologist is a better plan, but it's weird that he was dismissive. You shouldn't have to accept that attitude. Maybe you can get a 2nd opinion? Did he give you any advice or RX? How about seeing a headache specialist?
