First of all - thanks to those who have offered their input and support. This is a great place for advice. Over the past few days I have been getting these headaches that start with a really sharp pain on either the right or left side of my head. The sharp pain lasts about 5 seconds (but I feel tired and drained after it) and then I have a headache for awhile afterwards. Seemingly it happens around the same time each day when it does occur. In addition, I have a dull headache on the right side of my head that comes and goes. I have had all kinds of tests with no signs of anything serious. I was in the ER a few weeks ago and the CT scan and bloodwork was all normal. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi concernedLA,

Not sure but I am a member of a UK site for cluster headaches and on there we have a few people who suffer a condition called peroximal hemocrania (PH), this gives short stabs of intense pain. I believe a drug called indomethacin helps this particular condition. Might be worth a mention to your DR?
