Have you tried taking an antidepressant as a preventative? I took one for a while and it nearly wiped out my migraines entirely.
What are they treating with the prednisone? Inflammation? autoimmune illness? I've been on pred a lot for my AI condition, and I never noticed a difference in migraines while on it. At the same time, mine are mostly hormonal, and less frequent than you describe, but hormonal shifts almost always give me one that can last a day or two. I am lucky the neurologist was
open to letting me try the antidepressant considering my migraines are a few days a month. Actually, since it sounds like you deal with depression, antidepressants might be an option worth exploring. MRI is definitely a good idea. You've never had one?
