Hello everyone. I would appreciate any feedback, as I do not know what to do. I have been having the most severe migraine now for about 24 hours. It started when I was grazed by a car when walking home with groceries. I was walking across the street when the pedestrian light was green, but very quickly I noticed a speeding car barreling toward me when he took a right turn on red without looking for anyone in the crosswalk. I started to run the other way to get away, but before I knew it, the car's bumper forcefully grazed my leg. The impact threw me, & I landed face first on the side of the road where pavement meets the ground. It was a very close call. My leg was very badly scraped, but my headache was undescribable. The driver briefly stopped to make sure I was okay, but another man in the car behind the first car stayed with me. I asked him to not call 911 because recent experiences with the hospital have been awful. (I was treated worse than trash & labeled as a drug seeker because I was experiencing severe shoulder pain. When they saw one shoulder had a shiny area on it, they accused me of using fentanyl patches. Of course I do not. They even accused me of making up the shoulder pain. A few days later, I found out my entire rotator cuff had completely torn.) Thus last night, the thought of returning to the ER terrified me. To me, the only thing worse than severe pain is being accused of malingering & making it up for meds. The nice guy in the car ended up taking me home, & I then discovered my front teeth were knocked out. I iced my headache, but at 5am, I woke up screaming in pain. It feels like my head is on fire. I am taking excedrin, Advil, & Aleve for this mega migraine, but nothing is helping. I cannot keep my head still because it hurts so much. Even if my doc wants me to get a CT on Monday, I will not be able to hold my head still. I start shaking in fear when my mom recommends I go to the hospital. I truly think this is a severe migraine. Does anyone have any suggestions on what may help? The pain is driving me mad. Ice helps a little, but my head is constantly moving and thrashing. If I stop it from moving, the pain gets worse. Ugh, I am so miserable & hurt like never before. But the ER is out of the question. Any ideas on what may help lower the pain enough so I can sleep? Sorry if this post is all over the place. Fatigue and pain muddle my thoughts. Thanks so much.

Luv dogs, by all means go to ER & be seen. I do understand your feelings about going after the shoulder incident. That was then, this is now. Landing face down, knocking out your front teeth, you have obvious signs of trauma. Please be seen this morning.

Take care.

So sorry you are in Pain.

I strongly suggest, you go to the ER. There are dozens of serious reasons for the head ache.

At the very list call you doctor.
