Hi everyone. I have posted in several areas on this site.
I never thought I would be posting under Migraines.
Not that I don’t get headaches, and some dilly’s, but I have always respected that there
are those who suffer something in a whole different realm.
I have dx of SLE, Sjogren’s Syndrome, ITP, Hypothyroid, Gastroparesis, GERD.
Lately my GI tract and Stomach, have just been so bad.
It has been going on for months.
I had to go to the ER last weekend to get help with vomiting.
I also am having a terrible time trying to eat.
I was very lucky to get an appointment with a gastro specialist yesterday.
He and I have been trying to deal with a non-functioning gallbladder. No stones or anything it just
doesn’t work either.
But what I was surprised about is he told me that my pinched nerve in my neck theory isn’t the reason for it.
He said instead that I am suffering cluster headaches. He said that kind of pain can very well bring on gut problems.
I thought it was from terrible pain originating in my cervical spine that radiated up to the right side of my head, temple, ear, right eye and top of my head. I have hearing loss, blurred vision, balance problems, can’t look at light (even the tv contrast), nausea, vomiting, dizziness, vertigo, hot and cold, runny nose, tearing eyes, difficulty laying down, memory issues, word recall, and slow cognitive function, awful tiredness to the point of stooper.
But you know it doesn’t really feel like a headache like I always thought a headache was.
I can’t believe it has taken so long to be told this. It’s frustrating. My GP just ignored so much to the point it messed up my entire system.
The gastro gave me a nasal spray type of medication so hopefully it will help me get some control and my life back. Who knew, I sure didn’t.
Anybody else’s get these kinds of headaches?
