Hope you don't mind but wanted to share my week with you. After 12 whole days free of migraine for the first time since goodness knows when I can't even remember! - on Tuesday I had the inevitable migraine which I seemed to bounce back from quite quickly for me. Hey ho Wednesday by tea time down I went again. Thursday morning I woke up feeling utterly drained and really quite weak and took another day off work.
On Friday morning I woke up feeling like I had finally shaken it off, but my 17 year old son woke with an asthma attack so had to find cover for myself for work - as Pre-school Manager I have to ensure that the ratio of adults to children is at the very least legal - and at the same time get my son to the Doctors. We got into the car and it wouldn't start - battery was flat! Called a taxi which seemed to take forever got to the Docs who were meeting themselves coming back they were so busy, but they fitted us in as soon as they could. Of course this meant after the nebuliser my son had to go back on steroids! A friend gave my son a lift home as he was now feeling much better and I went into work. The afternoon was a bit stressful as found myself running around after my son and his girlfriend.
This morning guess what?......my son has another asthma attack, I'm still feeling very tired this time we end up at A&E(ER) - this time is a little worse, this is the 3rd time in his life he has needed a nebuliser and yesterday was the 2nd!!! Very stuffy and hot at the hospital and very soon I am down again, thankfully my sister came up to the hospital and helped out. I just hope my son wakes feeling better tomorrow, and me well I am still feeling utterly drained and very weak.
I hope though that 12 days free of migraine is a good sign that after years and years of 2-3 a week there is some hope in sight - thanks for reading. Ann.
