i I haven't posted in a long time.... I am suffering today, day 2 of a horrific migraine. I can't just lay down either I have a 6 and 2 year old. Triptans work great for me with a 99% success rate but as many of you know they are very very expensive. So expensive that I can't afford them. Doc's try to prescribe midrin but it has a 10% success rate. I have found Petadolex at walmart for 10$ which wroks just as well as midrin. I don not know what to do I have no insurence so I can not receive treatment. does anyone know anything I could do these migraines are killing me..... Thanks

Midrin worked ok for me (that was YEARS ago...) I had to quit taking it thought because of heart palpitations...
Other than that it seemed to work alright, considering that my migraines were a lot less dull than they are now. I need a tranquilizer (um, like the kind that are shot out of a dart gun at elephants) at this point to knock them out!!!

Yesterday My hubby called around and found a pharmasist (sp?) who would split my maxalt prescription up. The lone pill was 30$! I also read about magnesium and melatonin help ward off migraines and off course Feverfew. I bought those and I am going to try to take them everyday to see if it helps.
