hey, tomorrow im going to the dentist  for a small dental procedure (not sure what it entails yet) to prevent jaw clenching which the dentist had told me is the cause for at least 70% of people who have migraines. Im very skeptical of this because thats exactly what my chiropractor told me plus my acupuncturist and quite a few others ive had had pass dealings with (i dont know y they always choose that percentage!) non-the-less i am very excited about it and hope im not in for more dissapointment. Also im going to see a hypnotist too and i have no idea what hes going to do...id be very surprised if hes going to have any effect on me apart from making me restrain myself from laughing. im glad i can tell u guys that without being judged cause if i told my mates theyd just think im weird...thanks

Yes, isn;t it strange how your perspective changes when you suffer headaches. Its like you will try ANY POSSIBLE THING to get rid of them. I am on day 2 of a killer (stopped topamax 4 days ago , cold front cam in , and my husband painted our bathroom). Talk about triggers. I ordered some migrelief iam going to try that. I have gone to chiro on occasion i think it helps some, with tension-related headaches but not migraines. If the hypnotist route works for anytone, id probably try that too.

Good luck to you, let us know how it comes out.

Chiro to me was a rip off...and I had a good one, but it was set up like buying a car...come in 4 times a week the first 3 weeks, and then 3 times a week for 6 weeks etc...

It cost me wayyyyy to much and did not produce results.

However, MigraHealth/Migralief works well, is not expensive (compared to some of the other things we do) is made of vitamins and herbs and is not time consuming. I have had good results with MigraHealth when taking REGULARLY, avoiding triggers and continuing with my regular medications!

hey Sara, i agree with you that chiropractors are a bit of a scam job it only helped me to an extent and it cost me a fortune plus they will not leave me alone i still get phone calls from them all the time mostly first thing in the morning! anyways i managed to get my mouth splint so far so good only been one night with it and i feel quite a bit better. i never did the hipnosis thing yet it is quite expensive so im going to see how this mouth splint works for me first. thanks for the replies

im trying now hipnotherapy which is supposed to serve a couple of purposes: 1 stop clenching 2 increase confidence 3 help sleep better. I doubt any of these are going to remove my headaches but anything that helps is a plus. Its seems to be working for my sleep so thats great.
