hi, im wondering if anyone can help me, i'm 18 and have recently got a recurrent pain on the right side of my head, its throbbing, and it makes any kind of light feel unbearable is this a migraine?. Is it worth seeing a doctor and getting it diagnosed properly or should i just accept this and take just regular painkillers? if anyone can help i would be so grateful,  thanks, take care.

Hi tattoolady, welcome to healing well. it is always best to get it checked out at the doctors, but it sounds to me as though it could well be migraine. How often does this happen? Keep a diary of the pain you get and any other symptoms that come with it i.e. light sensitivity etc and take this diary to the doctors with you when you go.

Just take the painkillers that suit you at the moment, and only when you need them, and see what your doctor advises for you, let me know how you get on, take care Ann.
