I went to a new headache doctor because the treatments I was doing were but helping. She suggested an MRI and it suggests a possible brain aneurysm, and white spots in the brain. I had a very brief discussion with my doctor on the phone yesterday and she said all these terms that I didn’t really understand. I honestly didn’t expect her to find anything.

Half of me is relieved that we found a possible reason for my headaches but I’ll also terrified that there might be something very seriously wrong with me. Has anyone else had scans with results that are similar?

The next step is a CT scan of the head and neck. Until I get the next set of scans back, I cannot take Eletripan for the headaches. Just Tylenol and Nerivio. Ugh. My current headache is horrible.

Welcome!

Sorry it took a while to reply.

I get the relief of knowing something

First, if they thought it was life Threatening you would be in the hospital..

Seconds. 1,000 of things it could

I meditate and use breathing exercises when I am in a spot like this.

Post back, I am thinking of you

Thanks. I know that if it were very risky they would act immediately. They did do the CT scan and it did confirm an aneurism. I am going to a neuro vascular doctor now. They prescribed me NURTEC in the meantime for my migraines since it doesn’t silicate my blood vessels like the eletriptan does.

Has anyone ever taken NURTEC before?

I’m eager to go to the neuro doc to see what the next steps are for the aneurism. Fingers crossed it’s a wait and watch situation.
