I have had an almost constant migraine since thursday. I take amitryptaline (20 mg) at bedtime as a preventative, and use migranal nasal spray as an abortative. However, neither has worked, and tylenol 3 only dulls the pain alittle bit. I'm afraid of going to the ER for better pain control because last time my headache felt like this I was admitted for 5 days to control the headache and fix my electrolyte levels. Can low electrolyte levels cause headaches? I had a colonscopy on thursday and had excessive diarrhea the whole night before, so I know my electrolytes got very low. Any advice would be well appreciated, the next time I see my neuro is in april.
