I used to suffer from regular migraines years ago, that just went away after a while.  Tonight I've had one ugly headache with the nausea etc.  My question is, can a migraine cause blurred vision.  I have one eye that feels like it has a film on it.  I took out my contacts.  (Assumed that was the culprit, NO)  Has anyone else had this?  I'm starting to panic.  Thinking the worst.

Thanks Mandi
I really appreciate the response. It appears to be clearing now. Slowly.

I get blurred vision right before a migraine. It will start off wth only a little dot of blurry ness and then it will build up until I cant see and then it will go and then the migraine will kick in

I get it all the time, along with "auras" that totally freak me out. I've also lost my peripheral vision and had lots of other visual time problems. It is "normal" for some migraines sufferers...unfortunately.

What you are calling flashy light are what I call spots. I also can tell I am going ti have a migraine attack when I start getting this in my vision. It's either the spots or the nail that being pounded into my temple, or it's the tingliness in my neck. I can tell that I am going to get an attack if I feel any of these things/ The worse is when I completely lose my vision. (Like it's pitch black for seconds, or minutes. Up to 30 minutes!) Talk about panic and fear. But alas, my doctor (s) - eye doctor, internal med say that it's just a migraine. They checked me for glaucoma, and diabetes before they concluded it was "just migraine attacks". "JUST"...yeah...it sounds like they are JUST migraines....but it's good you are working with your doctor to rule out everything, anything else.
