Hi, I am a 22 year old male and for the last month I have been having frequent headaches and am starting to notice that my vision doesn't seem the same as what was at the beginning of the year.  I am not sure what is causing the headaches though.  I feel like I have alot of trouble seeing from a distance and when I am at college and work I start to get alot of headaches.  Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do about this?  Can headaches cause eyes to hurt and vision to change?  Thanks for all advce-matt

Hi Matt, Welcome to Healing Well. Sorry that you are having so many headaches, this could be for any number of reasons. I do think you need to get a Doctor to check this out, your vision and headaches could be linked but on the other hand they might come for two different reasons, but only a Doctor can tell you that.

We are all here to support each other but we have no medical training. Please let us know how you get on. I have found it helpful to keep a Headache Diary - the Docs didn't take me too seriously until I did that. Make a note of the date, time and duration of each headache, noting the symptoms that are personal to you i.e. wether your eyes hurt or your vision is disturbed at the same time as the Headache. You also need to make a note of any medications you take for the headache and the strength of the pain on a 1 - 10 scale, 10 being the worst pain you could imagine!

Take care and keep in touch, Ann.

Matt-

The first thing I would do is see a doctor...they need to check everything out and do some tests. Make sure you are writing everything down...what types of pain you are having, when (date and times), what you are eating and drinking, your sleep patterns, any medications you are taking. If you have this information on hand it will help your doctor out a lot.

Is your vision changing all the time or just when you are having head pain??

Your vision could be decreasing causing headaches or your headaches could cause some pain in your eyes and decreased vision...I am not the MD...but you should get it checked out, you will feel better and be less worried!
