 Hi all,

I went to my Neuro. this week. She told me that I was the hardest case she has ever had. My biggest problem is that I am severly allergic to preventatives. So she gives me Mephergan, stadol, Darvocet, Cymbalta and lyrica. It feels hopless when your Neuro. actually tells you to take pain meds. and that is about all they can do.( by the way, i don't take them too much to cause rebounds.) I have found that if I catch a migraine in the first 5 minutes, I can treat it with an Imitrex inj. But then I have the prob. of only having so many for the the month and having to deside if its giong to be a "big one" or not.

I am going to my Gyno. tomorrow. I have poly cystic ovarian syndrom, and it can contribute to migraines. Hopefully she can help my get my hormones regulated.

Next  week I am going to see an allergist about my medication allergies and headaches. More than likely he'll just put me on more meds.

Oh, and this week I had a new headache experience.(its been 9 years and never had this pain) I woke at 4am with the absolute worst pain on the top of my head, above the right eyes. I literally screamed. Then my left arm went all tingly. The pain lasted hours untill I cried myself to sleep. Over the last few days I have the pains but they only last a few minutes. The scary thing is my mom and grandad both have had anurisims(sp?) I just don't want to go to another doc, get another test and it be fine and the docs think i'm crazy.

Thanks for letting me rant and rave.     Ang

definitely follow up with the doc...especially with the family history.

Let us know,
