Hey everyone!

Im usually over at the IBS forum, but I have a quick question. I get like, mini-migraines that are extremely painful (light sensitivity, nauseous, sides of my head, etc.) but they only last for about 3-6 hours instead of 3 days like alot of people.  I'm having one right now, (its getting slightly better however) and earlier today I was sitting down and felt like I was falling. Like, the feeling you get after you ride a roller coaster and feel like your still on it.  It was so weird and I was just wondering if that was normal. My vision was also messed up...like I would look somewhere and my vision would track over there. Like it took a while for my eyes to catch up with my head. Whats up with that?

Hi Blondie,

Sorry to hear your getting migraines on top of your ibs.  No fun at all I'm sure.  3 - 6 hour migraine episodes are quite common.  Mine can last anywhere from 15 minutes to all day long for several weeks.  Besides pain and discomfort suck even if its for fleeting moments.

First off I would go and see your doctor.  The feeling of falling could be unrelated and something as simple as an inner ear infection.  I've had vertigo twice and it lasted on and off for a week at a time. It ended up being an inner ear imbalance just before i came down with a cold.

They eyes thing could be part of your migraine aura, but again i would really consider going to see your doc about that.  My migraines often affect my vision but I also have double vision.  So i'm not sure if that already makes me hyper sensitive to these things.

If your doctor is not aware of your migraines you should tell them.

Anyway, i'm rambling.  I really hope you get some good feedback...and go see your doc.  :-)  Take care and good luck to you.

Hi Blondie,

Sorry you are suffering at the moment. I can only echo what Vicky has said. If it was me I would go to the Docs and have it checked out just to rule anything else out like the vertigo etc.

Please post here again and let us know how you get on.

take care Ann.
