Hi there, newbie here!

I've had classical migraines and am very lucky because I only get them 2-3 times a year, with the auras, then vomitting, sleep, and it is gone when I wake up.  So, it's quite easy to deal with, as far as migraines go.  However, I have been under major stress lately.  10 days ago, I had a 24 hour flu, then woke up with a migraine, popped 3 advils and went back to bed.  Then I woke up 3 hours later and my head feels like it is shaking ever since.  I know that it is stress, had full blood work done, everything is fine.  I just wonder if anyone else has this, is it related to my migraines?  What can I do, apart from the obvious... relax!

Stressed in Montreal!

Hi Caro,

Welcome to Healing Well. Sorry that you are suffering at the moment. I wonder if the shakes started because of the virus you had, and the stress carried it on - the head shaking has not happened to me in relation to migraine, but there may be someone else that has had a different experience!!

Hope you get to the bottom of it soon, take care,

Ann

can't really tell what you mean by "shaking"
vibrating i can relate to! sometimes my head feels kind of "crawly" or like my scalp is moving (i know it sounds weird) for a while if i have had a bad one. i also attribute that to my tension headaches-lots of muscle tightness-stress!
i have never had it last for more than a few hours, even less. maybe go see your friendly neighborhood neuro?
good luck-
Sara

oops! i forgot to give my suggestions-
get a massage from someone-even a 10 min one.
ice your neck-or head
put some raquet balls in a sock and lay on the floor with your neck on them-roll them around.
take a hot bath or shower and rub your head and neck!
