tongue  Great News!!!!

I am a 64 yr. old woman that has had chronic,

cluster migraines since I was 31.

In my 30's, I had horrible one sided head pain, auras, vomiting...bouts that lasted 3-4 hours.

I got them 2 or 3 times a year. No effective medication. When I couldnt stand the pain I would wind up in an ER and they would shoot me full of knock out drugs. It didnt relieve the pain,  I just was unconscious through them. In my 40's,

they became more frequent but I didnt vomit as much. I'd get maybe one every two or three months. Then about 50, they increased to 2 or 3

a day. Shorter in duration, the vomiting was replaced by heavy sweats. By this time I had seen every specialist from neuro to psycho. I had tried blockers of every type, all the medications known at the time. None helped.

I bought a gun skull because I couldnt stand much more.

One day I went to my regular MD in horrible pain, groaning and crying (It sure gets you seen fast) and his partner asked if I had ever tried oxygen. I hadnt. He hooked me up to a tank and I breathed it for maybe all of two minutes and the headache simply stopped. That was the second beginning of my life. The gun was replaced with an oxygen tank that I have used ever since. The older I became the less effective the oxygen was but the headaches diminished in strength and in frequency. Then Imitrex came out and it was a God send because if I didnt get the oxygen immediately, the headaches were fierce and Imitrex stopped them. Life still wasnt normal but bearable. I know of many triggers for myself, from barometric pressure to exercise to foods I simply cant eat or drink. The last 5 years I have had less severe headaches and fewer but still average about 4 a week. Not eating will bring on a headache so it's difficult to diet such as eating two meals a day instead of three. Recently, I tried a new product called "Hoodia"

hoping to cut back on meals and not feel hungry. After 5 days, I realized I hadnt had a headache......hmmmm. I stopped taking the Hoodia and within a day, I had the usual 4 pm headache with yawning spasms about 9p.m. and the duller 2:30 a.m. one that wakes me up and I can eliminate with oxygen, and get back to sleep. I went back to the drugstore for a different type of Hoodia to see if the same thing would happen. IT DID! That was two weeks ago. I havent had a headache, aura, yawning spasm,

or any sign of a migraine. I know this is a short test but I also know, that Dr.'s, drug industries and the like, arent going to tell you about something they arent making a profit prescribing to you.

There are a lot of different types of migraines. Find out yours at the National Headache Foundation.com website. They have a questionaire that will indicate what you have by your symptoms. I have cluster (meaning they repeat within 24 hours) chronic (they are weekly as opposed to yearly). Very helpful!

I hope Hoodia brings relief to you as it has me.

By the way, Ive lost 3 pounds. tongue   If it helps, I'd love to hear from you.

I also suffer with cluster/migraine headaches along with vomiting, heavy sweats, facial twitches, and  ice pick pain on one side of my head. I`ve been on a number of preventive med`s and nothing seems to help . I take imitrex injection that do work 80 percent of the time but with in two hrs the pain starts all over again . I`m so tired of fighting this pain. What is Hoodia and where can I purchase it at, I am willing to try anything . My doc just recently put me on predisone and varapamil but its to early to tell if it will work or not, I`ve only been on it for 4 days .   Mary

I'm so sorry you are having awlful headaches. nono At 64, I've spent along time enduring them. Hoodia can be bought over the counter at any major drug store, no Rx required. No side effects.

Also,

Please try oxygen....Talk to your nearest fire house station. Ask them if oxygen would be available to you or ask your Dr. if you could try it or your local er the next time you feel one coming on.

Be patient with the trials. Sometimes, it works.

Good luck and let me know if you try the Hoodia.

Oxygen helps about 30% of migraine sufferers. That's why knowing what catagory the migraine is in is important.

Retouch,

Where did you purchase Hoodia? Is it a diet pill?  Is it still working?

Redbird,
You can get Hoodia at
health food stores, drug stores...call first.
You can get combinations for weight loss at a reasonable price just to try it($11/12). If it works for you too, then Desert Burn, !00% Hoodia,($40/60)
Meets international legal requirements for quality.
I mention it because there are now brands on the market that are not Hoodia from S. Africa.
Yes, it is still working and I feel reborn.
It is an appetite depressant, no side effects.
If you try it, please let me know what happens.
Thanks.

Redbird,

I found the real stuff (Hoodia)at oasisnaturalhealth.com. They will send it to you and someone named Harold is very knowledgable, is a pharmacist and owns the store. If you would prefer, the phone # 707-431-2400.

Thanks for the replies.... smurf

Foriegn

National Headache Foundation.com

is the link you need to decipher what type of headache your friend has. Suggested help is there too. Not all help is by prescription only. I found it precise and accurate and most helpful in understanding why men and women  have different types of migraines.

Hi,

I'm happy to say, Hoodia is still working for me.

I am not 100% free of migraines but about 95%.

Sometimes, I forget to take the Hoodia or I eat a trigger food like chocolate and one starts. But it's very seldom.

I feel normal for the first time in 30 years. I still am afraid to drink alcohol. However, I consider it a good thing and okay.

I move furniture, work out, run and do so much that used to trigger migraines and now, dont. I am eating foods like chicken, a little chocolate, coffee, packaged meats (nitrites),beans of different varieties and the weather doesnt threaten me anymore as it once did.

I hope Hoodia can bring relief to you! I am not affiliated in any way to the makers or sellers of Hoodia.

I am amazed that Hoodia has worked like this for you. I am going to try it too. I wonder what it is about the Hoodia that controls migraine.
Anyway, I'm so happy for you to be 95% migraine free. That's incredible.

Wow!
I have a bottle of Hoodia in my medicine cabinet. Was going to use it for weight loss. I haven't tried it yet, I was afraid it would make my migraines worse. Maybe I'll try it. Just need to get up the courage.
