Hey all! Does anyone else wake up with a bad morning headache? Every so often I wake up with a extremely bad headache in the back of my head. The pain is intense and all I can do is just lay down. Usually this will last for about 4 to 6 hours. Generally helps to keep my eyes closed. The only way I can describe it is as if someone was squeezing the back of my head together. Sometimes my eyes ache with it sometimes they don't. I can't eat because I have no appetite and feels like I will vomit if I do eat.  Friend wants me to go see a doctor but I'm not sure what a doctor can really do for this....anyone else experience this???

Hi twbab,

Welcome to Healing Well. Sorry you are having a bad time with your headaches. We have no medical training here and any advice we give is from our own opinions and experience. It sounds to me as if there is some tension headache there but other symptoms suggest some migraine. Your friends are absolutely right you should see your Doctor about this.

Your Doctor is the best person to talk about this with as there are a lot of things that the Doctor can do. There is no need to be worried, maybe you could take a family member or a friend with you if that wuold help you. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

take care
