hello, my wife has extreme pain in her forhead that goes on for sometimes 10 days at a time, she doesnt want to move, eat, sleep (the room spins when she closes her eyes) or even talk because she says the vibration hurts her head. on top of that she throws up or is nausous constantly. she had mild headaches from 10 years ago and is progressivly getting worse.

now just recently she started having full blown seizures along with the headaches. We've been to probly 10 neurology clinics, TMJ specialist, sinus specialists, multiple cat scans, mris, eegs, ekgs, the '7 migrain meds', we've even had to get a spinal tap done to see if there is an infection of the brain. all come back normal and meds dont work.

shes taken from what i can remember:

paxil, wellbutrin, topeimax, ellavil, lyrica, coreg, zoloft, relpax, zonegran, cymbalta, i cant remember them all but also a bunch of beta blockers.

i'm looking for some help, suggestion of things that help you, a doctor who can do something, ANYTHING! i live in tennesse in the US and am willing to travel anywhere for treatment.

jennifer,

You can have a normal EEG and still have seizures. yea, i've heard that before. the doctors was talking about an overnight test but they decided not to.

How long has this been going on? she is 27 and the migraines have been going on for about 10 years, progressively getting worse. the seizures have only been going on for 2 months, its not epilepsy, or so the doctors say. we had that specific test done.

Has she had any head trama lately? no

Such as any blow to the head? no

Also I suggest you pop over to our epilepsy. i'll do that, thank you very much for the response jennifer.

mandiann,

my wife doesnt have a period, she is on the depo shot. we've just recently had her stop taking it, but as far as when her headache are the worst... eh.. its pretty much a constant headache, it just gets better on 'good days' =( shes kept a log of everything she does for a couple months and we couldnt find a pattern anywhere.

thank you for your response mandiann.

also i didnt know the name of her seizures but they are called grand mal, i'm not sure if that makes a difference or not.
