Hello to everyone here. I have never posted on this forum before, I usually post on the Ulcerative colitis board. I was wondering if anyone had some advice for me. Here is my story..
I started having constant headaches about
6 months ago. I went to the doctor and he said it was "just tension headaches" and prescribed some antidepressiant. I tried to take it but it was so horrible! I was zoned out for a complete day, then I was super happy the next and really depressed the day after that. So, I didn't continue with it. I talked to the doctor and he said there was nothing he could do. It was so bad that one day I went to the ER. They gave me two different iv meds, one started with a "m" and the other was toredol. The second was the one that worked. I got relieve for about
a week and then it started again. Again, my doc had no suggestions for me. So, I just continued to live with it.
A few weeks ago, something changed. I am extemley sensitive to any light, inside or out , my vision is blurred and I can't seem to focus my eyesight. This post is very hard to write, as I can't see well. I went to the eye doc on Friday, as I thought my eyesight was bad. She said everything was ok and suggested to wear tinted glasses inside. I am just at a loss with all this. It could be that my meds for UC as causing this. Who knows? I do know that this vision thing has gotten worse. It is at the point that I can't function as good as I used to at work. I was wondering if any of you had any advice for me. Here are my symptoms:
1. chronic headaches, above the eyebrows, all day, all night.
2. it wakes me up almosty every night, with pulsing/throbbing at the back of my head.
3. sensitivity to light
4. eye sight blurred
5. eyeballs hurt
6. tight neck
Question 1. Could this all just be tension headaches?
Question 2. When should I get help from the doc?
Question 3. How do I make this go away!!!
Thank you for any advice that you may have. I am at the end of my rope here!!
