Going on 20 hrs. with a migraine. Doctors say, Wait it out. I have already tried stadol Ns so they won't give me anything else. I understand their point, but I'm exhausted. Now I have to go to work (Childcare...) and pretend everythings okay. I hate this, life has to be better than this...Just a vent. Thanks

What a bummer.  Sorry you are having such a rough go of it.  Stadol NS is a miracle worker for me.  Couldn't live without it.

Hope you feel better.

I work at a hospital where many patients with chronic pain or migraine headaches go to for help as a last resort. I hate it b/c I see how non caring some of the doctors and nurses can be. I don't want to sound like Im grouping everybody, because there are some good clincians out there I swear. I think some must forget that not all meds effect people the same way or that they flat don't really give a darn. Medicine isn't always as caring and glowing as you might think.( At least I thought this way until I got behind the curtain.) Some are just going through the motion. Please don't sit and suffer in silence. Find a physican that cares.

I too am a migraine sufferer. I cannot tolerate any of the medications for them. My PCP gives me stado also. I go directly to bed and go to sleep. When I wake up the h/a is gone.

Just a ?. How often do you have to use the Stadol? I get a migraine almost every week and can only get the stadol like every 2 months. And I don't want to go into rebound. Thats been the main issue with me and stadol, needing it too often. Usually it workds miracles on a h/a but this time nothing knocked it out. It eventually went away after 4 days. I'm glad it helps you too. THnaks for the reply.

I also have migraines on a daily basis, some days are worse then others.  right now I'm on topamax, but have only been on it for about 2 1l2 weeks.  my pain sometimes starts out not to bad then just gets worse then eventually gets into my neck and my shoulders sometimes waking me up at night.  I was taking a shower the other morning and had to cut the water off and sit down because I almost blacked out, really scared me, I had a migraine at the time, but also thought maybe I just got overheated.  I had brain surgery in 2002 to remove scar tissue from the right side of my brain, which was causing seizures, I'm doing great no seizures since the surgery, praise God!   I've always had migraines, but not on a daily basis.  I see my  neuroloigist Sept 6th don't really know what he can do, there's not much out there to try now.

If you have any advise for me you can e-mail me at cindyholt@yahoo.com   hope you all have a migraine free day.  God Bless!
