I have recently been trying to work out (i got a job in childcare at a gym) to loose some weight and get healthy. Every time I do any kind of cardio i get a headache. what do you so when you cant exercise??? Also, Diet foods that have anything like artificial sweetners trigger a h.a. I'm so frustrated.

I just keep trying to do everything I can think of to get better, but It never works out. I'm so tired of living with pain everyday,. I"m 21, i should be having the time of my life, but I can't even walk on a tredmill!!! Ughhh, sorry for the rant. I'm just so frustrated.

Also, they have once again removed my post on the CP forum, with no explination. mad This is the only place I feel like I get support and understanding. Thanks for those of you who encourage me and sypothise(sp?).

I just want to cry, but that too will give me a HA.......

Hi AngMichelle,

You are right, you should be out there having the time of your life not bogged down with headache etc!!! - so sorry this is happening to you!

Artificial sweetners have aspartame in them which causes headache! grrr!! In some headache sufferers excercise can cause the headache, in which case your Neurologist needs to know this!!!! I totally understand your frustration as I have battled with weight for some years now since I have been on preventatives!!!! This darn headache gets you which ever way you go!! I feel like I need to scream sometimes!!!!lol

As far as the CP forum is concerned, I think the best advice I can give you is to talk to the Moderators on there and ask for an explanation!!! Have a look at the left hand side of their posts and see if the envelope is lit up, and if it is, you should be able to contact them via email if you do not want to contact them publicly on the Forum. If you continue to get no response you could email Admin and talk to Peter Waite.

Hang in there girl, you can email me any time for a rant!!! You are in my thoughts and prayers, take care

Ann

Hi Am,

i know what u go thru, i had headaches since i was 23, m 34 now and still have them. Still working on them though and finally getting better very slowly.

I suggest a soft kind of exercise like swimming, pilates, nothing rough. All that helps me, but if I play tennis or jogg, i'll get a headache.

I would also avoid all possible triggers (artificial food, preservatives, coffe, alcohol, smoke) and do some trial and error with certain foods that contain lactose, citruses, etc.

good luck,

E

I have to be careful of the type you do.  If I do too much with my arms or overhead, I'll get one within 24 hours.  I use an elipitcal trainer, but if I overuse the arm portion, I'll get a headache.  Perhaps you strained your neck?  I hope this makes sense, I'm in the midst of a headache right now and Can't think or type too straight.  GOod luck.

I
