Ow.  I have had migraines for over 20 years and Sunday I had one of my worst ever.  The whole day was a blur of pain, vomiting, and diarrhea.  sad   I couldn't keep any food down and no pain meds were helping.  Yesterday I had to miss work due to pain and fatigue (not a wink of sleep the night before from pain).   Sooo, today, I still with a throbbing head, dizzy, sweaty on and off etc etc.  I made an emergency appt with my PCP who is in charge of most of my care even though I see specialists.

I have a history of stroke and seizure in my family so I am a bit nervous with the sweatiness, dizziness and my face that keeps getting red (I am normally pale).

I printed the Emergency Room Treatment forms so my doc can help me with them in case of another attack.

Thank you for listening. This is VERY frustrating as you all know.

Thank you Ann. I just feel soooooooo weird today. I have always had a few days of residual stuff, but this doesn't feel right.

As for the ER papers, I know if I had them completed on Sunday, I would have gone to the ER. I just couldn't deal with any thinking that day.

Hi Cheryl,

I hate that morning after feeling that you get after an attack, and hate it even more when it lingers for a day or two. Is there any chance that you could have a virus along with the attack? It might be helpful if only to put your mind at rest to get checked out!

Please let us know how you get on, hope you feel very much better soon, take care

Cheryl-

I'm glad that you are going to see your PCP. However, when I get a really horrible, awful, wish you could die migraine, I sweat, my face flushes with an almost butterfly pattern across my cheeks. Then I get cold, my hands get clammy and I'm so dizzy I can't walk. So you're not alone. But it's good to be cautious and follow up with the doc.

I had a tilt table test done a couple of years ago and found that I have orthostatic hypotension. What that means is that when I change position quickly, go from lying down to sitting or standing, my blood pressure does a nose dive and my heart rate goes way up. I'm on some meds to keep that from happening as much. However, when a bad migraine hits, these symptoms come back full force. Not fun, just increases the nausea.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I know what you're going through. I hope you feel better soon.
