I'm 19 years old and have been suffering from paralyzing migraines for over 2 years now. I've had 3 really bad episodes where I lose my ability to hear or speak and my body stiffens up. I've done MRI's and CT scans and EEG. The tests ruled out seizures. The doctors determined its "basilar" migraines. Normally before my episode I vomit and get really hot and cold. Then I can't think straight..and once i saw a bright light moving in my vision and followed it and passed out. The other times everything goes black and thats the last thing I remember. Each time it happens i'm paralyzed for 15-20 mins meaning I can't see or hear but my eyes are open the whole time. I can't talk or anything. Its very scary. I take Axert which help but once i get to the state of spacing out no meds help it. I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this before..or if anyone has similar symptoms. I suffer from migraines mostly 3 weeks out of a month, straight. Also, I get a really bad stinging feeling in my head and when I look at light it stings more.
