cool  Does anyone know what this is going to feel like ? For those of you who dont know I had a brain tumor removed, which is the reason for the staples. I have never had staples before, so I dont know what to expect. I have 28 staples in all. Just wondering how painfull this is going to be.

THE HEALING WELL is packed with great people.

Just want to thank everyone for all the support I have been given.

Hi Brad,

I think it may be a little sore, I had staples removed once but I cannot remember what it was like, so it couldn't have been that bad!! Although I only had a few, 28 is quite a collection!!! lol... but I am sure it will be ok!

Hope all else is ok with you Brad, don't worry we understand that you are probably not ready for long newsy posts yet! Still thinking of you and praying for your recovery to full health again!

take care

Well, It wasn't too bad. I would be lying though if I said it didn't hurt redface

Now I have only 1 surgery left, and it will be in late December or early January. They are going to fill-in my skull. smurf   It is to be some type of wire mesh. This is where they left out some of my skull for the swelling. Supposedly only an over night stay at my new " 2nd HOME"

I'm really ready to get all of this over !

Brad,
I usually post on the arthritis forum, but i have been in the background following your posts to see how you are doing. My daughter will be having brain surgery for a tumor in a couple of weeks and needless to say we are all a wreck. The info on the internet that i have been looking up can be very scary so that is why i have been reading your posts, i guess for peace of mind.
I was so glad to see that you are doing ok and recovering well. I am sorry to hear you have to go back in for another surgery. We were not told about 2nd surgeries being a possibility but i guess all cases are different. The most important thing is that you sound like you are doing well and handling it ok.
I wish you a complete recovery and have you in my prayers.

Brad,

Nice to hear your doing pretty good...Having staples removed can be stressfull but they kind of feel like bee sting in a way or a pinch...Didn't want to say that before your procedure and cause undue stress..Have you been listening to your brain..? and resting when it needs to..Please be careful not to go to fast to Quick...It could be like 1 pace forward 2 back...Just rest and sleep whenever your body sdays so...It's O.K. to sleep often..I know after my brain surgery , I slept really weird hours the first 3 months after I got home from hospital...Had alot of insomnia..Like I didn't like to sleep at night..Like the quietness of being up alone (with the computer ) house being quiet..I know everybody is different..But I couldn't take alot of noise or alot of people at first , to much stimuli.,WEll, I geuss, That is not much better, I still can't stand alot of stimuli..But I'm not fixed either..I'm just glad that you are on your way to recovery and this will be just a memory fopr you...HUgs, and rest when needed. Cindy
