HELLO fellow sufferers,

I too get migraines.... and last week i had

zig zag lights .twice in one week and blurred vision.

and major head pain/nausea

anyways....my Family Dr. has me taking

Maxerin...(which is an antinauseant) she says can be used for migraines...

I take it with Demerol....the 2 together seem to reduce the pain and nausea.

I took fiorinal after a spinal tap in the 80's....and it does cause rebound headaches....i took myself off of it.

Any narcotic has the potential for addiction or abuse.

I'm on alot of narcotics for my Fibromyalgia, IBS, Migraines.....and I know I can get withdrawal symptoms if i let my drug level get too low. (my GP watches me closely...I see her every 2nd week)

The other downside to narcotics is....constipation....have to keep a close eye on that.

hope this was of help

god bless

funnel

Hi Funnel,

Welcome to Healing Well. Sorry you suffer too with this disease. The trouble is it is so hard to get the right balance of meds for each individual as this disease is different in all of us. What works for one doesn't automatically work for another. I try to avoid narcotic meds myself now because of similar symptoms to those that you have. Oxygen works for me at the moment, but unfortunately not for many others!!

Keep posting and let us know how you get on. Take care

Ann
