Has anyone been to the Diamond Clinic????

I have an appt. the 21 at the Diamond Clinic in Chicago. I wanted to see if anyone here has been and what to expect. I am still not sure if its worth all the money. How can one Dr. help when nobody has been able to help and I've been on every med. under the sun. I just hate to spend so much money, and it not work. But, what do I have to lose?? Just wondering what your experieces were.

I have not been to the Diamond Clinic as I live in the UK, but just wanted to respond to you about just one Doctor helping when all others have failed!

The Doctor who you would be seeing at the Diamond Clinic would surely be a Neurologist who is a Headache Specialist. Doctors who specialise like this usually have a keen interest and often passion for their area of specialty. I know I am blessed with my headache specialist as he does have a passion for relieving headache. I am confident that he will not stop now until he has found the best way forward for me.

I have tried a most if not all of the traditional migraine drugs, but a Specialist is not phased by that, and is usually educated enough in combinations of drugs or other things that we maybe do not know about and that is why the Specialist does the job he does!

There will never be any quick or easy answers like we all crave, maybe this is the time to just make sure you have tried everything so you will have no regrets.

Hi, I go to the Diamond Headache Clinic and they have been wonderful!! Noone else has even known where to begin with me until I got there. I am in the process of trying to find a medication combination to help with my headaches (they are clusters and I have migraines). It is a long first visit, and alot of questions at first, but they really look at causes, and what is best for you. So, I have made several trips there over the last few months, but well worth it. Do your research and know what you want to ask. Just my opinion, hope this helps, any other questions, ask away!!

Hi there, I went to the Diamond Clinic back in July of this year and didn't have much luck. I have suffered from migraines for many years and was very hopeful when I read about them. I know some people have had some good results with them but unfortunalty I was not one of them. I am still searching and will continue to do so until I find something that will stop or either slow down these demon migraines. I have tried ecerything under the sun, I just take it day by day, migaraine by migraine, and unfortunatly doctor by doctor. I wish you the best of luck!
