Alittle about me: I'm 23 years old and get classic migraines and intractable headaches. I was hospitalized last year with a severe intractable headache for five days. Last month I had four migraines. I had to go home sick from work for two of those days. I am frustrated with my employer because she says I've been sick too often with these migraines. I talked to my doc and I'm going to increase my amitryptaline to try and prevent. I currently used DHE (migranal) nasal spray for rescue. What do you guys use for your rescue medication? My doc also gave me percocet to take so I can try to work through it. I know you guys know how incapcitating migraines can be. I go home and lay in bed with the lights off and my kitty comes and lays with me because she knows that something is wrong.
I've tried Imitrix and Midrin with no relief. My doc wanted to prescribe relpax but couldn't because of a severe interaction. Also... don't suggest topomax... that was just bad (prescribed after hospital)
