I have what people call "floaters" very often but the spots are black. Is visual snow different from that?

HI..absolutely. Floaters are very normal and just about everyone has them. Visual snow is like static or seeing constant sparky vision. I have Visual snow and its not fun. Usually people with VS have other visual disturbances like Palinopisa which are seeing trails and aferimages. If you google visual snow you will find great descriptions of it and even a picture of what it looks like. Ive had many tests done and doctors cant seem to figure out the problem. Some think its a migraine variant of some sort. I was on antidepressant for 7 years and it does say that antidepressants can cause vs. So, answer to your question is yes, visual snow is different from floaters. But I have those too!!

Hi Booboobum......you say you are in ms limbo..why is that? Do you have lesions in your brain and/or spine?

yes, I have lesions in my brain and a new one in cervical spine appeared on a mri i had done for an ortho when i went to see her about compressed disc. The neuro wanted another one with gad but I haven't gone back and it's been about a year. I need to make an appt and get back to see him. Just dont' have the energy or money to start with all the tests again. I have symptoms too.
I actually was thinking about the visual snow and you know, when I look at something dark in color, i do see a slight see through static. not sure if that is visual snow or not but i guess i got used to it and never thought much about it.
