So I am at 7 weeks of constant m and neck/occipital nerve pain. I let him know that the nerve block did not work and his reply was that sometimes that happens.

He didn't really say anything other than my m was as a result of my neck injury. And my my neck and back tenderness are due to the muscle spasms that are continuing to occur. He prescribed me to four weeks of physical therapy twice a week.

He feels the pt can help relax my muscles so that they can relax and stop irritating the nerve, thus my migraine and tension headaches can stop.

I hope this helps, but at this point I am beginning to lose hope.

Has anyone had anything similar to this before as a result of a car accident?

Sorry you are suffering with this still, hang in there. The physical therapy may well play a good part in relieving your pain, don't give up hope, give it a whirl!

The migraines may continue after this but they may not be as bad, but equally they may go altogether, let's hope so! I wish you well with this.

take care

Ann
