I have this. Badly. it's Light sensitivity. There are special glasses for it but from what i've researched it's geared to the elderly. Nothing I found talked about younger poeple with it and what we can do. I also could not find an actual store that sold the glasses they were talking about. Everything was order online. I'd prefer not to. and I don't want to go to the eye doctor. My vision is perfect but most bright lights, all computer screens, and the sun always hurt my eyes. The veins in my eyes are very red and noticable. and the rim of my eyes are always red. people think i'm always upset or something. I do always have headaches but I doubt they are migraines. I don't feel like i have to throw up.
I do feel dizzy sometimes and tired and sometimes light seems to get brighter for moments at a time but i think i'm just paranoid.
another person i work with has light sensitivity too. at my old job they would take some of the light bulbs out for me. At my new job they wont and sunglasses don't work for lights that are directly over head unless i have a hat on.....
so yes. my headaches get worse when my light sensitivity kicks in. which is constant. :)

Hi,
I'm brand new to this forum, but I have extreme light sensitivity also. I'm a children's librarian who works under glaring flourescent lights all day. As a matter of fact, I'm at work now with a killer migraine sitting in my office with the lights off as I type this. I'm calling myself the "Vampiress Librarian". My co-workers all know when I've got a migraine because I either do this, or I wear my sunglasses. I don't like wearing the sunglasses too often though because I tend to get funny looks from our patrons and I'm afraid their thinking that I got socked by my poor husband am hiding a black eye. I have very supportive employers who actually bought flat screen monitors for the computers here so the light from them doesn't bother me as much. When I go home, I use something called a migra-cap which has been a godsend to me. It's a black lycra cap that pulls down over your eyes and has little icepacks sewn in that target all the places that are usually affected during a migraine attack (temples under the eyes, back of head, etc...) There's a website where you can purchase one: migracap.co.uk It's one of the best investments I ever made.
