I always had the odd major migraine and just put up with em but over two years ago they went off the richter scale.
I went to neuro who gave me migraine meds and after about 10months stopped it to see what would happen and none of the awful migraines have returned BUT I also got tinnitus but only slightly and THAT has now gone completely AWOL.
I seem to have a permanent pain on the left side of top o head and I am constantly rubbing it.
The more tired I am the worse the tinnitus gets and the more active I am I can get dizzy and the pain and tinnitus returns mega time.
I asked for another MRI scan and neuro says that I only had one two years ago.
I am now presenting with PD like symptoms and same neuro says I dont have PD even though identical twin does.
I actually never thought tinnitus could get this loud!
Does anyone here ever have migraine and then diagnosed with sommot else like er, tumor?
THAT what scares me now cos I can't explain the raft of symptoms I am having and the neuro intimidates me no end.

Hi Ann,

I have tinnitus too!! Sometimes it can get quite loud, and other days I hardly know it is there! To be honest it sounds like you have an inner ear problem rather than a headache problem, and a visit to ENT may be beneficial. I have had vestibular problems myself in the past and it sounds rather similar as that can make you dizzy too!!!

As for brain tumour, I am assured that head pain is the last symptom you get, and by that time you know what you have, so I don't think you have anything to worry about there!

Btw I have a pituitary tumour! Hope this helps, take care

er. My protactin was too raised the last visit to hospital. THAT is why I am thinking - tumour!
See the neuro next week and scared witless as he intimidates me - big time!!!

Hi Ann,

Please try not to be scared!! Ok, I had a very raised Prolactin level years ago which meant I had a tumour, but that tumour is in the Pituitary Gland and is treatable!!!!! These tumours are almost always benign!!!

After treatment with drugs for a while the tumour shrunk and life went back to normal!! It was only a problem for me as I was trying to get pregnant at the time and the raised prolactin level was preventing that!!! My son is now 18!!!!

There are some cases where the Pituitary tumours can affect headache, but this headache is very severe, and after a recent MRI scan, they have discovered there may be still some of my tumour left. I have to wait and see my Headache Specialist in August to see if there is to be anything done about this! I will let you know!

take care

Ann
