Hi everyone,

I'm normally on the lupus forum but hoped if I post here someone may have a little advice for me. I have had two severe headaches over the last few weeks. Both times they have lasted for a long time, the one I have now has been there since last Wednesday. It started when I woke up with severe pain on the right hand side. It hurt to move and the pain was very sharp. Then I started vomiting and continued to vomit all day. My sight was slightly blurred in my right eye and also my hearing seemed not quite right. It was so bad that I was actually hitting myself in the head. Sounds daft as it hurt! but I was so desperate. Although the severe pain has now gone, my head still feels "fuzzy" and I still have a slight headache. I have been told that my optical nerve/disc?? is pale and I go for an appt on Friday for this. I just wondered if anyone had any experiences that were similar. Or if the optical disc thing could cause this. I used to suffer migraines as a child but not really been bothered by them for years and this just doesn't seem like how I rememer them. Any advice also on relieving the pain. I did get anti sickness tablets from the gp which did stop the vomiting. Many thanks if you can help.

Thanks Hippi Girl,
My opthamology appt wasn't quite how I expected. My optical disc is pale, but he offered no thougts on this. I have glyril (sp??) tissue on the back of my eye. He thought the headaches were probably migraines and this could be causing the blurred vision. I need to see my GP to discuss it. Thanks for your reply. x x
