I need help, i have an appointment with the clinic in july. They said its a 3 and a half hours long, but do they just talk or do they make you stay there all nite. we have no inc and i am paying for this out of pocket and im not sure about it.Its going to be around 350. to 500. just to talk to someone. My daughter was digo with chiair malformation and had surgery already and it still didnt help her headaches so this is the last place for help. After you see the dr as a outpt do you just go home (which i live in st.louis) or do you have to keep coming back all the time?Well if anyone out there knows what i should do just let me know!!!

Why not call and ask them what they do at a typical initial appointment? I know many doctors' offices are hard to get info out of, but you're paying them, and you have very reasonable questions. I would imagine the initial appointment will be taking a full history, but you should ask them what are the range of followup options.

I hope they can help!

cindylouwho:  I haven't been to Diamond but a friend of mine just took her 12 year old daughter and they are so thankful they went.  They were there for about 3 1/2 hours, spoke with a nurse (or practitioner, not sure) and then with the doctor.  I believe that they wanted to admit her for some tests and for some biofeedback, but my friend is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow so they didn't stay.  The doctor prescribed the meds and then, I believe, scheduled a follow up appointment in about 6 months.  Also, I believe that they can call any time now, to ask questions, since they are an "official" patient.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Here is their website. It seems to be really detailed, maybe you can get some info there about the standard visit:
