I don't know of a three year old (which doesn't mean it isn't possible). I DO know that I go to a neurologist who specializes in migraines, and one of the patients is only 6 years old. At what age did your gp say migraines started?

I have not heard that you can be too young or too old to have migraines. I have a friend who's little boy was diagnosed at 5 years of age. Keep in mind that a GP is not a migraine/headache specialist, I would consult someone who is.

Hang in there, it is hard to diagnose sometimes when it doesn't fit into physicians little "box"

I haven't known any migraine patients that young, but from some research I've done, I've discovered that migraine does indeed occur in children 3 years of age and indeed younger.  They are known as juvenile, pediatric or childhood migraine.  I think the reason that so few doctors are familar with these cases is the difficulty that accompanies diagnosis.  Here are some links.
