I went to the dr. today for an eye exam which is my first  since my opic neuritis was so bad in aug. at that point even with glasses she could only get me to 20/25 or 20/30 (keep in mind i never needed glasses until the o.n.) well today i was able to read 20/20 with my glasses yeah!!!!!!!!!! for about a month my vision has done much better. i could always see but sometimes in my right eye things would look very cloudy and a dimmer color. im feeling better and on most not all but most days i have more energy. this is such a blessing! i know God is right beside me.  for months i was afraid i would never see like i did before but now i have hope.

thank you all

Wow sunshine,

Thanks for posting.  This is great news.  I am so happy for you.  That is weird about color.  I have heard of people losing the ability to see full color from ON.  I am very glad you are feeling better.  I hope this continues for you.

Love and prayers,

I'm so glad your vision is improving! Yes, that fading color thing is unfortunately all-too-common with ON. I'm glad you'rs is coming back. Take care.

congrats Sunshine!!!!

the on can do those things during attacks. I dont want to sound like the party pooper, but i also dont wish to see you misled.

Bad news is---the eye is probably improving (colorwise) due to your entire body mending (remitting)

Good news is--- most cases of On does give signt and color discrimmination back. So if God forbid, this should occur again, pls dont lose hope. It's common as uppity mentioned and usually will return. Very rare cases that it doesnt.

The glasses help for the overall vision and sharpness but really don't help the color part. Red looks like Brown etc. That is from the ON.

So glad to hear that your feeling better--all the way around!

thanks

What WONDERFUL news!!! yeah I have learned in this life that we need to be sure to share the positives and the negatives so that both we and, others can be lifted up. Especially if someone is going through the same thing! Thank you for sharing your great news and God Bless and I pray that other symptoms keep improving every day for you!

Much love & Prayers
