Hi Everyone,
I'm twenty four and was recently diagnosed with RRMS.  My entire family is really into researching as much as possible about the disease and my dad recently came acrossed an article from Canada about a study that REPAIRS the myelin sheath.  Apparently the hormone that stimulates breast milk production was shown to repair damaged myelin sheath in mice, which also explains why symptoms improve during pregnancy. If you are interested in the article, you can find it at:
I thought the article was very promising and thought some of you might be interested in it.

Welcome Christie! I’m sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis, but glad you have such a supportive family. This board has some really great members, and I’m glad you’ve joined us. :-) Thank you for posting the info on prolactin. I wonder what’s been happening with this research since the study came out…it does sound very promising.

Note that this is only a study, only done on mice....and actually isn't all that new. These studies were done years ago, and now being repeated, and they still haven't gotten similar results on humans.  Certainly every study might get us closer to what will work..and what won't..but don't put a lot of hope in this one, just yet.

...I am not a doctor, nor health professional, and don't pretend to be one, here.....
