Hi guys, long time since last post. I have been having ever decline of vision now doube vision in each eye and multiple at night while driving and confussion with imformation processing of the exact light source. Also vertually constunt headache. So I got a new nuero and they did visual evoked potential and sensory sematic and tho the tech could not share her thoughts, she urged me on to the MRI which was the next appointment from there as I nearly cancled. I did the MRI and tho that tech could not reveal his thoughts he voluntered showing me the images, a big white spot on the occipital lobe that was not there last MRI in Jan. 2007. But, he said it did not inhance. This I am sure explains the decline of vision, headaches and lead me to a possible dx. I will probably find out on Monday. These test were done last Thursday late in the day. Here is my question, is that white spot my answer to possible closure and validation and the I can go from there ?

We'll not be able to diagnose you of course. But a "white spot" -- or lesion -- on an MRI, enhanced or not -- indicates something going on in your central nervous system. I hope the doctor can figure out what it is and what effect it is having on you.

The technician was quite right to not tell you anything. They're technicians, don't have your entire medical history in front of them, don't know what other tests you might have had, and what those results were, so simply showing you the film was probably even more than he should have done.  So now it'll be up to your doctor to interepret all that, and tell you what might be next. Good luck! Let us know how your appointment is on Monday -- tomorrow...

Hey AUGGIE!!

It's so good to see u again! Wow...lots of things going on with u'r vision huh? Any other symptoms new since u'r last post?? That spot could easily explain some of the probs u'r having...as Uppity said SOMETHING is going on. But, that may or may not lead to an MS dx. Try to hold tight til u'r appt tomorrow and see what the doc says. It may be an answer or it may lead u to another set of tests or wait and watch. I hope u do get answers friend, but try not to expect that just yet. There's nothing worse than expecting it and being told to wait yet longer. I will keep u in my thoughts and prayers and be waiting anxiously to hear from u. Take good care and don't be such a stranger!
