Well, my CAT scan did not show anything.  We asked if we could get the MRI.  The nurse is going to ask the doctor.  I am hoping I can get one !!! Are MRI's performed like CAT scans (with and without contrast)?

I am still battling the dizziness.  Thursday will be 2 weeks straight without a break from the dizziness.  I am taking Meclizine to help it but today it just doesn't seem to do the trick for me????

Can you say a little prayer for me that the doctors will figure out what it is?  Even if it is MS or not, I want to know!!!!

Thanks

Hey Amanda

MRI's are done with and without contrast. I'm not familiar with a CAT scan being done with or without contrast tho. An MRI would be much much more efficient in giving u details and letting u know if there really is a lesion. If the Meclizine is not continueing to help, maybe discuss this with u'r doc, if even by phone, and see if there is an alternative med? Being dizzy is not fun and can really wear u out...take care of this with u'r doc friend and let us know how it all goes.

Hey Amanda,

I had a cat scan and it showed nothing.  The doctor turned right around and did an MRI and they found a lesion on my cerebellum.  I have had vertigo for over two years now.  It never goes away.  Good luck on your quest for answers.
