I keep thinking what if.......When my wife was pregnant with my son a little over 2 years ago, she had a total blackout in one of her eye's, I can't remember which one. It lasted for about three days and then came back. Since then she has been complaining about aches in her legs and numbness also. She also suffers from severe fatigue at times. The scary thing about this is that I got dx'd almost 2 years ago. These are also some of my symptoms.

She is very scared to take this to the doctor, as am I. I'm not quite sure what things would be like if she ended up having MS also. That would be are crappy luck. We have been praying that this is not the case, but I quess we'll never find out unless she mentions this to her doctor.

I know I haven't posted here in a while, but I promise to keep you all posted on this. Pray for us.....

Tertle,

It is good to hear from you.  Indeed your wife needs to tell the doctor.  It coud be just a pregnancy thing or a host of other problems.  The thing is you are probably making it worse by not going to the doctor.  The stress of not knowing has to be making things worse.  I know that I had a bunch of little things pop up when I was pregnant.  My childhood asthma came back to stay (thanks boys! :).  My doctor used to say, "pregnancy is pathology".  I think both of you would feel so much better knowing either way.  I have heard of one other couple that just happened to both end up with MS.  Although this is not a good thing.  They were doing just fine managing their diseases together.

You are in my prayers.  I hope to hear from you soon.

Hey Tertle

U DO have my prayers. I agree with Gretchen...please go ahead and mention this to u'r doc. It can only serve to give u answers and relieve some of the stress...if nothing else the worry of the not knowing. While it's true that u may not have answers right away, u will at least be on the road to knowing. Please know u are not alone...neither of u....and we'll be here all the way with u both. Get her to the doc and make her take care of herself and get some answers. If for no other reason than to be prepared for what u'r future may be. I"m certain that can make a huge difference for u'r baby. Take care friend.

Thanks Gretchen and Rhondab

I agree, i am going to talk her into going to the doc with this. Although is will be very scary if that is the outcome, we both need to be strong or we will both be bedridden and our two children will be very confused. Hopefully everything will be ok, thanks again for your support.

I know I have said it before, but I am going to try to be around the forum more. It does feel good to talk with others, especially in this cold dark world of MS.

Take care and talk with you soon!

Tertle,

Don't stress over whether or not you are here enough.  You sound like you feel you are neglecting us.  We all get busy so post when you can and don't when things are busy.  But don't add to your stress by feeling guilty.  I hope you post lots, but only if that is what YOU want to do.

Best wishes,
