 Hi all !
I've just been wondering, is it possible to have exacerbations during the winter? I know MS doesn't like heat and I generally feel worse during the summer months, but since I've haven't kept a log of my symptoms until recently, I'm wondering if any of you have had bad flares during the cold months.
I've been feeling relatively good for the last couple weeks. I rarely have a day without at least one or two symptoms. But I didn't know if the majority of MSers experience a break during cold months.
Would love to hear your experiences.
Thanks, Friends!  turn

Hey Flutterbug

Yes, it's possible to have an exacerbation during the winter months. MS is a disease that is continually active. Even when u feel great and have little or no symptoms, it's there. Heat will affect u'r feeling and the intensity of some of u'r symptoms because u'r internal thermometer is not working correctly. While u may feel u are in an exacerbation or flare when u are hot, it's more likely a worsening of symptoms that are already there. A true flare is going to include new symptoms and will last more than 24 hours. Take care friend and i'm glad to hear u'r feeling better!
